Town of Batak

We will visit the historical museum, included in the List of 100 National Tourist Sites, where the flag and the cherry ball from the April Uprising are still kept.
Next we will visit the Ethnographic Museum and the Church of St. Nedelya – a monument of national importance.
In the memories of Bulgarians, the town of Batak is perpetually linked with the repression of the insurrection in May 1876, when the Turkish Bashibozouks carried out a merciless massacre known as the “Batak Massacre.” For days, a portion of the populace was besieged in St. Sunday’s church. The scene inside was severe, and the traces can still be seen today. Everything in this church is very expressive. The walls are speaking.

Snezhanka Cave

After exploring the town of Batak, we head to SNEZHANKA Cave – one of the most beautiful caves in Bulgaria, gathering all kinds of cave formations. We will see the “Udder Hall,” so named because of the shape of most stalactites, the “Great Hall,” where there are handcrafted ceramic containers left by the ancient Thracians who once inhabited the cave, and the “Music Hall,” which has incredible acoustics and may be a perfect stage for you to perform. Sing a tune and revel in the results. The magic of the cave inhabits the last “Magic Hall”. It is reached via a 25m long narrow, mysterious passage. It is lavishly decorated with marble-white stalactites. The realm of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be revealed to us in this magnificent hall. Among the abundance of exquisite synth formations, the figure of the fairy-tale heroine and the snow-white canopy of her bed stand out.

Town of Peshtera

After the fairytale world of Snezhanka we head to the town of Peshtera. The unique combination of climate, natural phenomena, geographical location, animal species, historical heritage and natural attractions make the area extremely attractive. Peshtera is a town with a very old and interesting history. We will visit the town’s history museum and a few of the numerous historic churches that have made the town famous, such as “St. Dimitar” and “St. Petka,” one of the few remaining examples of a Renaissance building in Bulgaria. Notable among its assets are its icons. The frescoes at the nearby temple “St. The Church of the Virgin Mary” are equally striking.
We will also see the town’s architectural and Renaissance landmark, the Clock Tower SAHATA, which is the second-oldest in Bulgaria after the “Sahat tepe” tower in Plovdiv
We will visit the exotic museum dedicated to the cars of socialism. Other artifacts that narrate tales from the recent past will also be on display. The museum’s creation was motivated more by a desire to preserve a portion of the socialist past for those who were not alive during that time than by sentimental nostalgia.

Peristera Fortress

We will visit the medieval fortress of Peristera, declared a monument of national importance. Restored and beautified, it is an exceptional achievement in the field of cultural tourism in Bulgaria. A beautiful flower path leads to its entrance. It has preserved the history and spirit of several eras. Supposedly, the first settlement of the Thracian tribe Besi, who lived here more than 2 000 years ago.
The hill on which it is situated is known as St. Petka, and the name Peristera means dove, dove place. After exploring the Peristera Fortress and its museum, we will head back to the hotel.
